Copied this off the PSIA eastern board and thought others may get a laugh or cry from it:

I'm proud to be a level III 20 year veteran card carrying member even if the people we work with don't know who or what we are.
Two definitions I always enjoy are:
Preferred Seating Inside Area :
my favorite is that it is a secret reverse acronym for:
A-Holes In Stretch Pants

Who has others??

FWIW, the version of this that I remember is slightly different, "Perfect Stance, Insufficient Angles", but what the heck ...

NFW !!!! :

My reputation as a geek is bad enough as it is.

Tom / PM

PS - Just so there is no confusion, in this context, NFW does not mean "Not (Suitable) For Work". It means, "NoF******Way"

I am proud enough and/or self confident enough as to be able to laugh with others at myself or my organization. As your old Bil S. put it "To thine own self be true."

As an examiner friend once said, "It's the closest thing to a degree in skiing we have in this country".
Love it or hate it, it's the "standard" in the US. Most people at the top of the ed staff are good and sincere. It's the local level where egos get in the way.
Anyway, we should be able to laugh at ourself.

An Austrian (friend) said that PSIA stood for "Professional Skiers Imitating Austrians"

or it could be--"pressing, sewing, ironing, alterations "
