Dumb question prolly, but will there be an ESA in the East in 2006?
Wait and see.

Hey, I would like to be a part of that!!!!
From either side of the aisle.

Do a search for "ETU" for info about the past 2 events at Stowe.

I would love to participate in an East ESA.

The ETU is too early in the season for it to be worth the money. The conditions are too risky.

I understand that it is meant to be an early season warmup but that is what November skiing on rock skis is for.

I would vote yes.

Scalce, is ETU a kind of ESA for the vertical-challenged poor Eastern cousins?

There will be an event in the East in 2006. When/where/etc. to be announced (soon!).

ESA 2006 has been announced over at Snowheads : see this link (at the bottom)

Hey, broun, on behalf of us "poor eastern cousins," I extend an invite for you to partake of the Goat and Starr at Stowe, the Chute and Paradise at MRG, and Outer Limits at Killington. We may not have a lot of vert, but our trails won't lull you to sleep. Plus, we have about 11 words for ice. Lemme see, hardpack, hardpan, black ice, blue ice, breakable crust, unbreakable crust, ice cubes, frozen granular, "firm," bullet-proof, deck plate, ......

For you guys, the only ice is in the drinks....

All in good fun.

Can you keep a secret?

Hmmm, an "Eastern EpicSki Academy" event. That's an interesting idea.

Maybe over a weekend. An event that builds on the organizational advantages, community atmosphere, and instructional expertise of the existing EpicSki Academy and the EpicSki website. An event that would involve GREAT coaches -- the best of the best. And how about early, accurate information so people can plan far in advance without the confusion and disorganization of the past. Maybe a price that delivers this top-tier instruction at a really good value. Hey this is sounding good to me.

Stay tuned for an an announcement in the very near future. And please don't tell anyone I said anything! I mean what do I know, I just sweep up around here.

Who are the Coaches?

That would come under the umbrella of "
Stay tuned for an an announcement in the very near future." Yes?

Depends on whose umbrella.....One could view them as completely exclusive questions. Especially, since they are the 'best of the best' this should be information that is already at hand, No?.......Unless of course the Major League Baseball steroid policy is the model......Then obviously, nothing exists

I didn't mean to imply that just because the information isn't being given to you prior to an announcement that the information may not be "at hand." My response was a polite attempt to suggest that we will be told when someone is ready to tell us! I'm prepared to read AC's suggestion to stay tuned for an announcement as making it clearly pointless to not *WAIT* for the announcement.

Ahem.

Given the qualifications of the coaches of previous Epic Events, why would anyone think that an Eastern event would be any different ?

Hi, I went to the link AC , but the only coach mentioned is Stu Campbell (who is such a great guy!)

Will these events be continuations of the ones created by Bob Barnes, Ric Reiter and Tom Burch, or is this a new start with a different group?

Thanks,
Steve

Is there any possibility of expanding the course to include children/jrs? I have a 12 y/o daughter that I would love to include, but previous courses have been adults only. Any thought of including the whole family?

I'm confused. This event is December, 2006? Over a year-a-half from now?
If so, does this mean there's nothing at all for December 2005?

Nope. December 2005 for the event that's being planned right now!
