Heavenly for beginners

Thread Starter
I have a friend who will be going to Heavenly next week and is intimidated by the mountain from what she's seen on the trail maps. She can ski Eastern greens and easy blues and is learning quickly when not psyched out. I read that Kirkwood has a better beginner's area and that there are free shuttles from Heavenly to there and Sierra-at-Tahoe. In short, if anyone has any advice for a beginner spending next week at Heavenly please let me know and I'll pass it on - thanks.

I skied Heavenly last year on about my 4th day on skiis. I didn't like it then but went back this year and it seemed pretty tame on the blues. There is a lot of terrain to ski and if your friend stays on the trails that match the comfort level all will be fine.
