Not being proud of anything I've done (except my Navy service and passing my PSIA exam) but I was honestly owning up to not always having been a squeaky clean stick in the mud. And maybe growing up in a time before high speed detachable six person chairs when there were less crowds on the hill. I have never tolerated crashing into other people (or even blasting by too close) and as I said I never have. I am not valuing my own kid anymore than anybody elses, although I will admit that a higher level of concern for ALL kids comes with having your own. A lot of jokes I laughed at the week before my daughter was born were not so funny the week after I became the father of a little girl. I guess in Gonzo's abscence I'll have to post my extreme distaste for SNOBS who call others "holiness" or post extreme distaste for persons who are publicly admitting to having been wrong in their past but maybe having been blessed with some guardian angels, lived long enough to gain some wisdom of age.
What further penitence would you have me do to become palatable to you?
Good one! None needed.
I understand your position on having kids, then suddenly becoming sympathetic to the plights of the kids of others. It's funny how that changes your attitude, isn't it?

This comment above is what got me wondering about you. It's a pretty strong statement..........."I own your life".......and I wonder.......
you've obviously not been sued, or even thought about what a lawsuit is like for all parties concerned, or you may not be saying stuff like this.
If someone skis into you, would you
go ballistic and sue? Or is that just talk?
If I'm out skiing, and I get tossed out of my ski, and I either slide into you, or my ski shoots out in front of you and makes you fall, and you tear your ACL, Stache, buddy.........will I need to worry about you suing me? (I have insurance, yes I do...I'm lucky that way). What if I had one beer at lunch?
: What if I hit you on the head with the bar by accident? What if I drop a pole from the lift and you ski over it and it spills you? What if, what if, what if?????
Do I really need to think about everyone "owning my life" if something should happen? Shit happens out there. Ski at your own risk.
What if out of the 4,000 people skiing at a resort, you have this mentality coming from even 25% of them? That means 1,000 people will not think twice about suing you if you hurt them or their children in some kind of ski mishap.
If I have to worry about people suing me over what happens on a crowded New England slope.....then I'm going to stop this sport!! It's not worth risking the LAWSUIT.
Nevermind if you just said it "cuz".
