Something must be done.
Even 'normal' people (ie not drug-crazed IPOD-wearing facially-peirced persons) have got the idea that hitting people on the snow is OK "as long as it's an accident". This awful way of thinking needs to be combatted, strongly.
He hit a woman, got up, and was about to ski off. He was a very 'normal' looking guy in his mid 50's. He could have easily outrun the other ladies she was skiing with, took a few seconds to assess that fact and began to flee. Not the type that I would have thought (by looking at him) to leave the scene of an accident, but he was clearly in the wrong, had hit an older woman and hurt her badly. He was afraid of being sued.
Cowards come in all spots and stripes.
