Was anyone at Copper today? (Sat 2/26)

Man, I have never seen lines or traffic like that before! The snow wasn't that great, yet there were hordes of people there and when we decided to call it a day at 10:45, the traffic was still backed up on I-70. Anyone know what was going on? Wish I would have gone to the Beav!

Yeah, that was just weird. First time I've ever seen them direct traffic at 8am. I think it was a fluke more than anything. I think there was a 4Pass blackout last weekend, so maybe some folks were getting anxious to use 'em. Of course, like any other weekend, I'm sure there were no lines at half the lifts. Saturday is by far the worst day of the week anywhere in Summit Co - Sundays have a lot less people. Tomorrow should be good skiing - it's snowing pretty hard right now.

Also, next weekend will be pretty busy too - Gravity Games will be going on. Parking will be different though. They seem to have a pretty good plan in place.

I don't know... I've been skiing every weekend since early November and the only two times I"ve run into lines like that has been at Copper. Breck has had a couple 5 minute waits, but nothing like Copper. It convinced me to sell my remaining 4-passes there. Oh well... the Beav awaits!

I've been skiing Copper every weekend since November and the only lines are at Eagle, Flyer, Excelerator, Storm King and Timberline. Doesn't matter to me though, the only worthwhile lift among them is Storm King unless you wanna ski groomers all day.

Have fun at Beaver Creek.

Got back from week there. I did notice that Saturday was extremely busy, although I never really had difficulties with it. Spent the majority of my time riding the cat up Tucker. No one back there, no lift lines to wait in. Found some nice knee deep up on Tucker and in Union Meadows.

Harry, you should have been at the Beav. Fresh pow and small lines.

Not to rub it in, but it was an unbelievable day.

Stoney, I know, believe me. I wanted to go there, but couldn't for personal reasons. There is always powder in the trees there, and never a line to be seen. Those extra 6 miles past Vail really deter the crowds, huh???

All ten of us were @ Copper, from Wed 23rd- to Sunday 27th. Snow was great Sat. No lines were we were! Rode the Tucker Cat Sat & Sun. Along with the lifts on the back side. We all got more turns in then we wanted.
Big day Sat. due to 1)Special Olympics 2) Oakleys Big Night Out & 3) The set up of the Gravity Games.
You Best stay away from 3/3 to 3/7 Because of the Games it will be packed this next weekend!
