Salomon X Scream 9

Thread Starter
Looking for advice on the Salomon X Scream 9 skis. Want reviews on this ski if short or longer skis are better. I have been skiing on a pair of K2 Extreme 195cm from 1994. I found a great deal on a pair of Salomon X Scream 9 193cm. I don't want to ski anything larger than my K2's. I'm about 5'10" and 180 pounds. Would the 193cm Salomon's be a good fit for me. I tend to ski the whole mountain. Any suggestions if I should buy the 193cm or the 188cm.

Hey Gonzo's right. The 192 would feel a little long. If your really looking for a bargain, I have a pair of brand spankin new X-Scream Series in a 187cm, still in the plastic for $400!!!!!!!!! Great deal on a great ski. rjsacnbas@aol.com<FONT size="1">

I have skied the series and the 9 in two different lengths and found them to be drastically different skis between sizes. The longer 187(?) was lumbery and damp; solid cruisers and good all around. While the 177 (again, this was last year and I am not sure of the lengths exactly) was seemingly a much lighter, super nimble bump ski that was not nearly as damp and stable at speed or had nearly as much float in deeper and/or cruddier snow.

try several sizes if you can demo before buying

these differences between sizes may not count for as much between the longest solly I tried v the 192. but...<FONT size="1">
