Vent About Snowboarders

Thread Starter
#1: Slapping boards on the snow makes a loud noise and is sooo annoying, stop it!

#2: Please keep your snowboards on your own side of the lift and off the tops/bottoms of my skis/edges.

#3: Wake up and act human.

That's all, thank-you.

Wow tough crowd...why the hostility...

The slapping is absolutely no issue...

it is a fact that snowboarders have different angles while sitting on the lift and can sometimes have their boards resting on your skis or feet (which actually hurts my bum knee a ton)....and some go really slow in open lift lines (I'm just happy there's no line)...and they can "ride" tougher terrain with less skill by "meandering" the trees or just plain grooming the middle of steeps....
it's all good though...they're just out there enjoying themselves...no need for biggotry...next thing you know you'll be proposing a constitutional amendment banning snowboarder marraiges or something!! I actually find most of them quite enjoyable...especially when they stop and stare with complete awe !!

give me a break about your rant against snowboarders. Why don't you keep your skis off my snowboard when you are on the lift? it works both ways you know. sorry but the snowboards don't go straight like skis do when you're on the chair.

BTW I ski and ride and like both plenty. you're really missing out by not trying snowboarding.

fools divide

great people unite

go ski with some boarders. learn the differences in approach, the similarities in goal, the commonality of the experience.

most that you complain about can be attributed to an unfortunate naivete.

Nah, snowboarders suck.

This is a sorry subject that had been beat to death.....let's just drop it.

YES! Quit complaining about it and Just Do It! Double the pleasure, double the fun! If you can't ride, (and telemark), you are still a beginner.

i ski with a snowboarder, we both have a blast together, and actually sometimes when i see the perfect lines he carves in powder i'm actually envious of his seamless symmetry, as for behaviour, i feel it's more the age than the mode of madness when it comes to rudeness or being rowdy , but what do i know

I happen to be married to a snowboarder, but jeez my skis never bang against a snowboard the whole ride up.

Wait, a Shmatta is a cheap garment. I don't get it....

Also, the boarders pounding their boards on the snow always makes me think of beavers slapping the water as a warning.

... and Seventh Avenue is the garment district.

Funny how it all fits together.

Killer whales sometimes slap the surface of the water with their flukes. Other than that, they have little in common with snowboarders.

you've never seen me on a board. I look a little like a killer whale.

I can't give it away on 7th Avenue.

They got rats on the west side, bed bugs uptown.

This town's in tatters.

My brain's been battered.

Spattered all over Manhattan.
