T-Square seems to have named all the worthys in his Observe & Describe. His second Cause & Effect paragraph seems most relevant to me.

If looking to deliver changes that will apply to shaped skis, I'd keep an eye on fore/aft pressure (and balance) while helping the skier reduce his need to hop-over and skid the tails as a means of turning and speed control.

Per T-squared's fourth paragraph under Perscribe, I'd encourage more CM movement *with the skis* during transition instead of the quick up & over movement across the skis (and onto new tail-edges) as is currently happening.

Whether Classic or shaped skis, hop-over & skid takes quite a lot of energy and makes lateral balance a real challenge off-piste.
