Yes. They are now made in China.

I have seen the skis in pics and during the World Championships. The color scheme on the topsheet is very similar but they are now called the "racetiger". I have no idea about the boots

Here is a Russian link that has 2006 Volkl Models.

I haven't seen the info about Tecnica yet.

Remember that what you see on another countries' site may not necessarily be carried in the States. If you get your heart set on something not distributed here it's gonna be a hefty shipping bill...but it would be cool to have something nobody around has!

It is cool. I remember having some of the euro Salomon S9000's in black when the US ones were orange. I got alot of looks.

No, they aren't, jahrule...This topic was covered rather exhaustively at SIA. Volkl production stays in Germany.

Moronic comments aside, they have dropped the "P" nomenclature and it is true the race skis are called Racetiger GS and SC. Like this year, both will be offered in "regular" non FIS legal versions with integrated bindings as well as FIS legal race stock versions.

Though I'm sure you were more interested in the Race Stocks, I must admit that I didn't ski them, but I did ski the regular GS with Motion at the Copper Trade Demo. Great ride, significantly better than the current version. Probably better than the Supersports for an all mountain expert that likes the groomed.

I asked what changed with the race stocks and got the usual answer - "sidecut," though I'm not sure exactly what changed about it. I have the catalog around here somewhere...when I find it I'll post the dimensions.

From what I saw at Vegas and Copper, Diablo Race Pro stays the same, but rumours are a stiffer (than the current 130) version will be available to some shops.

Considering the praise both the catalog (double edge grip etc.) and a lot of reviewers have been providing for the last couple of years is "significantly better" still possible? :

Check, I know what you're saying, but for me at least, I do think the Racetiger GS (retail) is an improvement over the P60 GC Racing. I find it much smoother and overall significantly more versatile (perhaps even moreso than the Supersports.)

They widened the tip by 4mm, so there's a lot more sidecut on the new one.

OK, troutman, now we have defined the "better" I´m getting what you mean.

Just for the record, my (European catalog) says 110-67-96/180 cm/19.1 m whereas the current GC had 108-65-94/178cm/18.4 m which would not mean less sidecut, just +2 mm everywhere.

Unfortunately, Skierbob didn´t specify if he´s after racestock or retail.
We may be discussing the "wrong" skis ...
