anybody own one of these? it just got the highest safety ratings of any helmet and it appears similar to the Giro's, but more advanced

if anyone owns one and can tell me what they think I'd appreciate it

there are some great deals on these online right now and I just cracked my Giro Nine this past weekend (but lived to tell about it)

Love mine, fits like a Giro 9, but has adjustable vents like the Fuse.

THx for the feedback, I'm assuming that if it was cold or you had problems with the vents that you would have said so

I just ordered one from Snowleopard for $83 (they took another 10% off to get me to finish the sale when I scrolled away from the page! sweet)

ended up paying $75 w.free shipping and no sales tax for a $140 retail helmet

not bad

and they are super light, where did you see the safety ratings results

Does the Prophet have a normal goggle clip? Or do they have that weird Leedom way to hold the goggles (like the Scream)? I can't tell from the picture.

Thx,

A.

I think I saw it in SkiPresse, but I'm not sure

it was rated highest

just be aware that they seem to run one size larger than a Giro Nine

ie. I'm an L in a Giro Nine but an XL in a Leedom Prophet

the fit is exactly the same though, just their sizing chart is a bit different

Thanks. I looked at the sizes on their website. Hopefully I remembered my size correctly. Otherwise, I'll have to see how good of a customer service they have.

Grrr

Not happy with Snowleopard. They took my order, got an acknowledgement email, but overnight I got another email saying they ran out of helmets my size before they could update the website and were cancelling my order. :

There's only white left in my size, so looks like I'll have to pass. Oh well. There's always next year.

I actually think the white one is pretty cool because everyone wears black and when you put black strapped goggles on them most of the white disappears anyway (especially on this model with the large black vent holes on top). The back and sides are covered by the goggle straps.

I'm a decent amateur photographer and I can tell you that optically when you photograph skiers with white or silver helmets, it really stands out in the picture and looks unique. Lots of mogul skiers wear white helmets for that reason, too, so they can be seen by the judges.

Anyway, it's a screaming deal no matter what color you get. GearGuys.com also had some but the price was $104 not $83

just got my new Leedom Prophet helmet yesterday in the mail and it's even better than I thought (I tried it on at a store in Tahoe to make sure the fit was right before ordering it)

it fits tighter than a Giro Nine (by tighter I don't mean it's too small, just has more padding inside that will 'pack out' like a boot packs out, so it hugs the head is a perfect way...even if I don't buckle it up, it sits without sliding if I wiggle my head around. Best fitting helmet I've ever tried on and I've tried all the major models)

has the same type of ventilation system as the Fuse

and it's selling at half price at Snowleopard.biz in Colorado

just make sure to upsize it by one size over a Giron Nine (ie. I'm a L in the Nine but an XL in the Leedom Prophet)

Got the Prophet vor 25€ via Ebay.

The G9 fits perfectly in Size M (56-59), so should I go with the M/L or L Prophet?

Near here there is no dealer, so I can't test them.

My headsize is 58cm...

The Leedom sizing runs small. The ML is 56 cm and the L is 58 cm, so go for the L.

Thanks!

I've ordered the L now.
