Killington Condo for rent this weekend

Hi,

I rented a 2 bedroom 2 bath 3 level condo 5 minutes from Killington Resort. It turns out some of my friends bailed on me and now I'm stuck with this condo and the rental agency won't issue a refund. I've stayed here twice before and really enjoyed it, which is why I booked it again for this weekend. This place easily holds 10-12 people.

I'm willing to take any offers, so please email me at mingchan75@yahoo.com for more info.

If anyone is interested and would like to rent it this weekend, here are the specifics:

$1,100 for 3 nights - Feb 18-21 (Fri-Mon)

Type: Townhouse
Bedrooms: 2 Baths: 2.0
Sq. Footage: 1800

Description:
Tucked away on 32 acres, the Telemark Villages Townhouses are privately located just 1/4 mile from Killington Road. This beautiful 2 bedroom 3 level contemporary townhouse has cathedral ceilings in the living areas plus other amenities like whirlpools and saunas. Minglecpa: I don't believe that the "General Ski Discussion" forum is the appropriate place to run rental ads.

In fact, I'm not sure that even the "Resorts and Travel" forum is suitable.

EpicSki is a non-promotional, non-commercial site for those interested in discussing skiing and equipment.

Captain I have posted my condo over the years. I think in Gear/Swap/ Sell or resorts. Never had anything said to me.

Agreed, if you're non commercial, it's probably ok.

Though it does take a little chutzpah to come in witth 2 posts and try to sell 3 nights in a Kmart condo, in the worst ski season in years, for $1100 bucks. :

It seems the post didn't get a response over there, so it got moved over to "General Ski Discussion".

It seems we're being used as a billboard to move high-priced condos.

Tough break. Looks like you might be stuck with it. Make your "friends" pay their share and go enjoy it. Then get new "friends".

I was told the last few weekends have been running over 90% occupancy, so if the agency doesn't offer to refund at least half if they can move it last minute you should raise a "stink". Some agencies don't care, but make sure they know they'll never see your business again. Maybe this will be a win-win for someone.

If it's yours and this is your week every year and you're just trying to peddle it... the snow will melt under your feet for ever more for abusing the forum. This crowd can put a real mojo on your a$$.

I may be a newbie and I think Bonni has the right answer, but isn't this at least a little bit of what this forum is for. Friends helping friends. I read it that he is stuck for $1,100 and would take any offer. Maybe I am wrong (I have been fooled before and seeing as this member only joined to make these two posts) but if someone was heading to K this weekend and scored the condo for $400 then the forum served a couple people well.

Hey scalce,

I support your being able to place this in the forums. If someone took it, it would be a win/win for eveyone. Sorry I'm working this weekend or I'd take it myself.
Good luck.

Hi,

I've been a lurker on these boards for a while although this was my first post. I was able to rent the condo to someone for $700 and I'm paying the difference of $400, but at least it's not the full amount. I don't own the property, I actually rented it from a rental agency up in killington for the long weekend and was just hoping to recover some of the money since I couldn't get a refund. Like Robscapes said, it's a win win for me and the guy who got it for $700.

Congrats on dumping it.

This weekend would have been a mobfest anyway with less then ideal conditions.

Sorry about the confusion. Mingle- glad you were able to get something for it.
