Park City take-out?

Restaurants during Presidents week in PC are nuts so we usually skip them (except for El Chubasco of course), get take out, and hunker down in the condo in pj's. What are your favorite places for take-out? (No pizza please, which apparently cannot be made decently west of Chicago).

Albertsons $7.99 Chicken Dinners are alway good. You can also get delivery from most of the better places in town from mountain express. They have menus in just about every activity rack in town.

A good local haunt that should be pretty uncrowded is The Broken Thumb.

Davanzas Pizza is pretty good if you decide to give it a try.

I don't remember the name, but there's a grocery store next to the State Liquor Store in PC that is fabulous. They have homemade sandwiches and food. The best meatball sub in that area. Go in, order some good grub and take it to go. Go next door, grab some wine, liquor, etc. and you're good to go.

Just ask someone where the liquor store is. There's only one I believe in Park City.

Other simple and easy takeout options inlclude Terryaki Grill (I think that's still the name) by Dan's, Wild Oats (at the Junction) and Moutain Express will deliver from almost every restaurant in town if that's what you're looking for... it is looking like it will be a pretty busy weekend here in town!

Head to SLC, take foothill drive exit-heading north, keep your passenger looking for funky strip mall on the right, in it you will find the Bombay House.

Bombay House is the best Indian food in Utah, and some of the best in the country. Either go in and eat or call ahead for pick up.

I know driving to SLC to get food sounds like a downer but you really are only looking at a 20 minute drive and it is very much worth it.

Yup, only this one is shaped like a horseshoe, going uphill, with little to no warning. There is also, I believe, a Thai restaurant within the same complex that is suppsed to be pretty good.

I can't think of the name, but there is a service in PC that will delever meals from many differant resturants, to your condo. Once you check into your condo, look at the local info book, And ask your front desk person.

Curry in Hurry, in So. Salt Lake is better.

Depending on where you ski and if you have an oven, Papa Murphy's has awesome take and bake pizza. Coming from Solitude/Brighton, stay on Big Cottonwood Canyon rather than turning to get on the interstate. Coming from Alta/Snowbird, you'd probably have to take left to get on to BCC. Take it down to just past 2000 and it's on the right. If you blink you'll miss it. Great price. The Cowboy XL was on sale for 8.99 last week if I recall. They supposedly have an unbelievable Chicago (deep dish) style pizza also that we didn't get.

Curry in a Hurry has the reputation of Diarrhea in a Hurry.

The fact that a food item which is allegedly pizza could possibly be called the Cowboy XL proves my point. I'll stick to local slices. But thanks for the other suggestions.

Don't knock it till you try it. If I recall it had two meats and three veggies. We also got an Gourmet Italian pizza normally made with a white sauce that we had them make with red and then another in the group ordered a chicken based pizza. The XL referred to the size, not the name itself.
But if you don't like pizza, then it's not for you. If you do, you may wish to rethink it. If you're coming down from the Cottonwood Canyons, it's not terribly out of the way to stop and check it out. Check the website www.papamurphys.com if you want to see what it's all about.

Papa Murphy's blows. If you want pizza, head to Davonza's in PC. The best.

I wish Wild Oats was closer to town. I always forget that it is out there by Kimbell Juntion. They do have some really good food to go. There isn't a Papa Murphys in PC. There is a Pizza Hut and a Doiminos. Best sandwitch in town is at Legars, by the Dans.
