So I was in my shop today, looking at options for a new slalom ski, and I got to take a look at next year's Rossi 9S WC. They look pretty radical, with a sidecut of 117-65-104 on the 165's, with a 12 m radius, pretty small for a ski of that size. So does anyone have the scoop on these? Supposedly they have the same construction, and should therefore flex similarly to this season's. But what are the effects of having a wide tail, other than making the ski turn smaller? Do they cause the ski to become more sluggish and locked in one turn shape, or will the soft flex eliminate that issue?
