Good spring (warmer weather) helmets?

Thread Starter
Last week it was really warm where I was skiing and my helmet (Boeri Shorty) did not cut it. I had to go without a helmet (actually, did not even wear a hat, just sunglasses and sometimes a headband). Any options out there that work well in the warmer weather (or that are more versatile.. i.e. work well in both)?

Thanks!

My son does aerial tricks and doesn't like to do them without a helmet. He couldn't find anything he liked in a ski shop so he went to a skateboard shop and bought a good skateboarding helmet he uses when its warm. A number of his friends have done the same thing.

No personal experience, but I hear that the Giro Nine is one of the lightest and most well vented helmets available.

In the spring, I wear the Boeri Chop (discontinued?). I underdress since my head will be warm, and make it a habit to remove the helmet on every chair ride. This does the trick for me, even on 65 degree days.

Try on a Giro Nine and see if it fits. I've worn mine in 50-60 degree temps and no sweat.
The vents have removable plugs to make it seem like bike helmet and the earflaps come off for warmer days. (It's been warm enough down into the upper teens, but was a little cool at 10 degrees with a 20 Mph wind)
