Last week we were below zero most days here in Vermont. I have two flavors of Swix wax: warm and cold, I bought in bulk this year and have a probable lifetime supply. I hotwaxed last week with the cold variety but never got out on the slopes, so my planks are good-to-go with cold wax. Now come we to today, thursday, and the forecast is for 30's (Farenheight) this weekend and I'm jonesin', dudes, and will be out there. Question 1: should I hotwax my Xscreams again using my warm-weather variety, 17 and above, over the cold? Question 2: I will be bringing a second pair of skis, my brand new Rossi 9s supershorty slaloms (160, dudes, shortest ever by 19 cm) picking them up today from the skishop where the boindings (VT accent) were just mounted, with no wax on them except for whatever the factory does, so, should I wax? with warm? with cold then warm? does it matter?
