If "A Modest Proposal" were written today, it would be banned in most schools and libraries, and someone wouild sue... and get away with it.

In a speech class once, one assignment was to read an essay of our choice. I choose 'Modest'. Gawd did I have fun watching the guys grin and the girls almost throw up while I was reading! The teacher thought it was great. This was back in the '60's. Even then some of the kids whined that it was inappropriate (Gawd I hate that word). Hmmmm! Those kids are today's adults posing as our thought & language police... and succending!

The real danger in skiing are what I call "runaway garbage trucks", who are self taught adults whoes posture on skis look like the quote above. They are out of balance, out of control and going way too fast even on greens to stop or turn quickly enough to avoid anything. At the end of the day as they limp to the bar they brag about the "quad burn" they had today. Skiing can be a lot more fun than that!
