Has anyone been to Kirkwood recently. The reports tell me that they have been dumped on heavily and the conditions must be primo.

Also does anyone know about the Snowcrest Lodge. It is a newer building that is a ski-in/ski-out property. It has been a few years since I have been to Kirk and I have heard that it has built up a bit. With that being said can you get more than a hamburger for dinner if you stay at the mountain.

Thank you!

Was in Tahoe last week, Heavenly, Kirkwood and Squaw. Kirkwood had just received about a foot of fresh powder on 1/28. The conditions were phenomenal!!! Compared to Squaw (average) and Heavenly (very good). Not sure if there has been much snow fall since but certainly the best of the three. Can't comment on lodging though. Don't get out west often, but Kirkwood has to be near the top on most lists.

I've been keeping an eye on Kirkweed. Planning a trip in 2nd week of March there. Sounds really good. http://www.kirkwood.com/

Yeah, last weekend was awesome. Boot-to-knee deep dry fluffy powder all over the place.

The snow will be all packed out now, but it will still be very nice.
