Actually you are both right. If memory severs me right...It was a safety issue with the chair, swinging and boarders getting off at the top of the single. This closed the single lift to boarders but were allowed on the double(s). Then, one day in a grocery store two teenagers crused the owner out for not letting boarders on the single. So beeing 100% owner and a crusty Vermonta, she made up her mind not to allow boarders at all on her mountain.
