Yes it's "like some kind of segregation" but not really. You can't unicycle at the roller rink either. No kayaks in the swimming pool, etc.
Completely agree with this posting. People are so quick to cry foul in regards to discrimination. Try walking into a public library without a shirt on. How dare they discriminate like that with our public dollars!!!
On another note, we all have friends who snowboard. Nevertheless, I would like to see the trend go back to majority skiing for one big selfish reason.... powder. Powder days get tracked out much quicker now with the dominance of snowboarding. Good boarders have little impact... but when you come across a group of boarders that are in WAY over their heads, they just turn sideways and I start crying as 5 good lines get taken out by a snowboarder going downhill facing forward.
Yes it's selfish, but an 80/20 ratio would work great for my interests.
