Like I said above, that's what I'm looking for. Within last 4 yrs. would be good, with bottoms and edges in such shape that they can be tuned. Anybody?

Turnalot wants to go straight.

dh boards

i've got a pair of 210 Rossi DH boards you can have for 100$ USD. they are in great condition except for one little ding on one edge. they are the yellow and black ones from the SLC olympic vintage. for 100$ more i will throw in a rossi fks 5-15 DIN wc race binding that will fit the plate on the skis.

also available 210cm Dynastar DH with plate and binding(look 8-18) in excellent shape(canadian team stock) 400$ USD

or 204 Dynastar SG as above 400$USD

waxman,
The Rossi's sound interesting. I have some bindings I could mount on them, I may still be interested in your bindings as well. I will get back to you soon and let you know.

I could not email you through this site, but I did get your email address. If you want, email me again and give me your email address.

waxman,
I just read my last post. It would be helpful if I wrote what I mean. I meant to say that I got your email, not your email address. So, still, if you want, email me and give me your email address.

210s

They don't make them that long anymore. You may be able to find some GS racing skis.
They most certainly do make DH skis that long. 210 is the standard for women, 215 for men. "DH skis" = (I think) downhill racing skis, as in what you would get if you "want to go straight."

I don't have any to sell, but they do come up on eBay pretty frequently. There've been a number of brand new Head race skis (more SG than DH), which have gone for under $200. Atomics with bindings for $200-$300.

I stand corrected

I guess I was wrong. Are we talking about Alpine skis? I don't see too many 210s where I buy my gear.

What does SG stand for?

Probably doesn't qualify but...

Well...these skis don't qualify on two counts - they're not 210cm and they're not 4 years old - but they are sweet skis which probably go faster - and are more stable at speed - than any skis I've ever been on...

Solomon Force 2S - nearly 200cm long - and maybe 9 years old give or take. Still in relatively nice shape, no bindings. And probably (in my subjective opinion) the prettiest 'graphics' I've ever seen on any modern ski: a really cool dark blue/moire pattern with what look like beaded drops of water all over the ski.

Surprisingly nimble for long boards - and damn fast.
But, as I said, they're not quite as long - or as new - as what you said in your original post. But boy did they used to go FAST

These would be full-on race gear, typically only used by the small coterie of people who actually race in downhills ... and few wild and crazy recreational skiers who like to go very fast. They're not sold by normal retail stores ... at least not very many. I did see some 2-something SG skis at the local retail store once, but it's a store that does a fair bit of racer business. Very good racers, I think, typically get them from reps. Normal mortals sometimes get used ones from good racers, or from people who got them from good racers.

Super G, or to be really wordy, Super Giant Slalom.

208 Rossi 7XK??? $75.
There's a shop near me that has a whole bunch of brand new Rossi DH skis going for about $250 cdn or less. There's a bunch of the lastest stock of black and yellow, probably Salt Lake City era, and the others are mostly black and actually are made with dualtec construction, probably Nagano vintage. All skis come without plates and bindings, though.

If you're interested, feel free to email or PM me.

Thanks all for your replies. I've found a pair never mounted, 2yr old Salomon DH's, 215cm, for a great price. I noticed the 208cm 7XK, I actually have a pair of 205 7XK's out in the shed but this will be 70+ mph. Need the DH's. Thanks again for your replies.

They still make Downhills and SG's race skis from about 195cm to 220cm.
I almost picked up a pair at the fall ski swap----215 Salomon's with bindings, $50 marked down to $25 at the closing half price sale. Then I noticed the bindings had a DIN of 14-23. People who use that sort of ski are animals, so be careful of the bindings you might get with them.

dh boards

I have a pair of Fischer RC4DH 216 CM with Salomon 957 Equipe bindings. 3 or 4 years old. Used once, need to just have the edges cleaned up. Sweet ski.
