for some1 like me that is lookin for a ski that skis great on the groomers and bumps since i'm on the east coast but also wants something that will handle fairly deep powder/crud for my trips out west...

what would you say is a good range of an underfoot to look at when buying new skis? (i.e. 70-80)

I'd say 75-80mm. There are plenty of good choices in that category.
