K2 Axis X & Pro vs. Volkl G21 & G2

Can anyone comment on the relative stengths of each of these skis for the East Coast and a suggested length? I am looking for one good all around ski with edgehold and stability and have focused on these skis. I like to make all kinds of turns and do not ski the bumps much. I usually do 1 trip out West a year, otherwise all East Coast skiing. I am 6 ft. and 170 lbs. and level 7/8 skier. Thanks!<FONT size="1">

Agreed. The Axis and Axis Pro are a much better choice than the G2/G21 if you are a moderately spirited skier in the East.

I tested the K2 Axis, Axis Pro (bought a pair last year!), and the K2 Mach G. You really should try the Mach G for eastern skiing compared to the K2 Axis Pro. The Mach G is a hard snow tool with great, secure grip and great power, without great effort. Excellent eastern ski. The Axis Pro will be the better all-around ski and suit you nicely out west, but then again...I would rent some high-end demos for out west and keep your eastern ice-tools in reserve.
