A bit OT... Well, they sorta do in Geneva! The only time I was ever in Switzerland, it was a business trip. Worked our butts off non-stop all week. Never had a meal outside the hotel/convention setup. Two of us decided to stay an extra day and explore. Took the train to Bern, etc. Back in Geneva for a final dinner. I had looked up a bunch of highly rated traditional Swiss restaurants famous for game and various cream/nut/mushroom type sauces. We found one and my co-worker & fellow explorer Shantanu set about trying to find out if they could accomodate him with any dishes free of meat products. When the Matre'd finally figured out what the questions meant, you could just see the shock and disdain on his face. He promptly ejected us from the restaurant! No joke! We ended up eating at a rather decent veggie-friendly Thai place across from the U.N.
Oh yeah - we had a veggie pizza in Bern...
I say go for the steaks!!!!
