I just got back from Mad River Glen a couple of hours ago. The mountain was closed yesterday due to all of the rain so that they could let the mountain drain. There was 5-7" of new snow that fell yesterday morning. The powder was a blast on the ungroomed trails, but conditions were sketchy as MRG doesn't have a good base on many of the runs they have open. If you're headed there this weekend, bring your tree skis as you run the risk of shredding your bases on some of the slopes.

Interesting observation: we saw some Olin Mark IV's on the ski racks! Yes, someone was actually using them! I know that skiing MRG is like a throw-back to years past, but that was a little frightening.
