Atomic Serial Numbers

Thread Starter

I am new to this forum and do have a question to those ski experts around here (read a couple of threads recently and have to say that this is the place with the most expertise on skiing on the web I could find)

however (enough cootchie-coo ;-)), here's my question:

I am thinking about buying skiis via ebay (should save significant money when it comes to the Atomic SX B5 I am aiming at). as there's no chance to check these skis before buing and because i am slightly worried that a seller might have gotten hold of some of those skis with minor production faults I was wondering whether it's possible to tell by the serial number of the ski if it was part of a "bad" batch?

anybody any hints/ideas on that?

btw. my skiing profile, even if it's of no value for my question ;-))
me: age 35, size 185cm, weight 85kg
skis: Atomic SX 11, 180cm
Atomic R9, 180cm
resorts (just in case you wanna come to europe ;-)): Obertauern, Monte Rosa, Tignes, St. Anton
snow: everthing that brings me down the mountain, off piste preferred
education: austrian ski trainer (level D)

thx a lot

If you have the serial number, call up Atomic and ask them. They should be able to help you out.
