Questions about new skis

Thread Starter
I have not checked this forum in a long time so I apologize if these questions have been asked and answered recently. If so, direct me to the the answer and I'll look it up...

I ski about 10 to 15 times a season, both in Colorado and in the midwest [often icy conditioins]. A number of years ago I took a class and was told I was a level 6 [but I think that was being generous; plus I have hardly skiied in two years]...

Although I don't get to ski as much as I used to, I am looking to buy new skis. I am still using the first pair of skis I bought [back in 1998]: beginner Volkls "carver access". The last pair I demo'ed two years ago was the Volant Epic t3, which I liked but apparently are not available anymore... I have read about the new Volkls EnergY [320, 380, 420] and since I really like my old Volkls I thought one of these might work for me... Any comments on any of these or others ??

The Volkls come with the integrated bindings. Is it reliable? durable? safe? Any comments??...

Thanks for any info you might provide!

I'm a Volkl man myself. I would think you could handle the 420 it would be a good tool for you to take a few lessons on and get better.
I'm not a big fan of the intergrated system. I'm cheap sometimes. I like the option of taking the binding to my next ski. But if you plan to keep this ski for years then maybe you might want to go with the system.
Sometimes it is simple.

Hopefully you'll get more time to snjoy the new skis.
