Ryan- yarddog here. I may be all wet on this, but i'll give you what info I have. As I understand, Geze is no longer made. no warrantee, and not on the indemnification list. Ess V.A.R. is the same way. Even though Wss V.A.R. bindings could be opurchased a few years ago, they are no longer around. Therefore there is no warrantee proteciton either.
Back to Geze. I don't know when they went south, but I had a pair I bought in Germany back in the late 60's when I was in the Army. They were the Geze Star Step bindings. They were a kind of Rondonae binding. (can't spell it). These were a step in binding with a flexible plastic plact from the toe and extending clear under the length of the boot with a metal oblong hole on each side at t he heel. You had long leather straps from these over your boots, wrapped around several times. when you came to flat ground you reached down and threw back a lever which moved the heel piece away from your boot. Now you were in a cross country mode. Come to a hill, and you moved the lever back and the hell piece came back to your boot. Neat, huh?! They were staless steel so they didn't freeze. But... htey had no DIN numbers what so ever!
A few years ago Geze had a few bindings on the indemnification list. The next year they were gone. Soon we got a note that the few kid's level bingings we had left we were not supposed to touch them. They got RTV'd. (return to vendor).
If I were you I wouldn't touch them, unless you know someone who is willing and able to mount and test them.
There you have it. Some facts from personal use. Some rumor. And perhaps some BS.
probably this was of no use at all, but I couldn't help jabbering about it.
