I had a great time; Traynor is a good coach, and a fun guy to ski with. I will likely be a repeat customer. I even extended my stay so that I could complete the entire program.
Sadly, the conditions sucked, and we weren't able to complete the full ADM curriculum. We spent our entire time on blue and black groomers, looking for something that wasn't too icey and too crowded. We did no gate training (the Dave Murray run was closed), and never went off piste.
Despite the conditions, though, I benefited greatly from the experience. I learned some good drills to practice on my own, and learned some valuable techniques for improving my turns. I think my skiing improved quite a bit.
On the down side, the video analysis is a real blow to the ego. I thought I was skiing pretty well, but watching myself on camera really exposed my weaknesses. I had no idea I looked that stiff. Upper/lower body separation? None of that happening here, I'm afraid.
Judging by your remarks on another thread, it sounds as if the conditions had improved by the time you went. Which instructor did you ski with, and how big were the groups? Was it everything you hoped for?
