Hadn't been out on my PRs this year except for the real pow in the back country. There's something about that spaceframe that keeps me coming back. Just finished up the day by putting in 3 non-stops on the front side. We're talking in excess of 2 mile long runs done at race speed with dust on man-made crust. I can't belive the angle I'm able to tip that funny looking ski up at. If they don't sell quickly, mount em up and have some fun.
That's excactly what I plan on doing. I have a friend who is a really good alpine skier who loves his PR. I thought I would get the Elan 666 or the Fischer 8.6 if I could sell them. The only knock I got against the PR is when I start to pick up speed the tip really starts flopping around. I am about 190 lbs and thought if I got a little stiffer ski it would handle my weight better. I would like some input from anyone who has skied both the PR and the Fischer 8.6. I aslo feel a little bit a responsibility to give Solomon another chance since they so readily replaced the ski after a product defect. They literally replaced the ski within a couple weeks.
