Last time I had alignment done the BFG (Boot Fitter Guy) had a board that had what is basically a half-round of a dowel about 1/2" high attached to one side. He put the board down with the dowel side down with dowel running side to side. The alignee (me) then stood on theboard in ski boots and try to keep the board centered allowing the aligner (BFG) to observe my stance.

What I don't recall is where the position of the dowel was when he did this. I think it was a bit aft of mid foot but I don't recall exactly where.

Anyone know what the correct postion is?

I'm think about trying this at home to check my stance and experiment with what it feels like to balance.
