Waxing for powder

I'm going to Utah for a week and a half. Leaving this thursday. I'm not used to dry snow.

How often do I need to re-wax?

I was planning to pick up some rub-on wax to use everyday, but I assume I'll need to hit a shop once or twice as well?

dry snow will bite hard into softer waxes that are meant for wetter, warmer snow, slowing you down immensely. this means you will need a harder, colder temp wax into which those hard, edgy snow crystals can't bite. check out a good cold weather wax that sets up hard. beware - you will fly with this wax!
