You don't want to do this. M40's are ancient, get yourself some newer bindings, plus in thes generation of bindings there were no lifters available. Also I assume that you have a jig to mount these and you are NOT doing it freehand. I also think that the M40 is NOT an indemnified binding and that is for good reason, it should not be skied. Is this the old Sensomatic (or whatever it was called) heel? Btter off going to a good shop, see what they have in leftoever bindings w a din 3.5-10 that you can get for $100.00 or so, but do NOT use the M40's
