There is a hypothesis out there about the range of motion of ones ankle and the benefits of a particular boot flex index!!!
All things being equal....I would assume that with
The softer boot and the stiff ski.....:
-over flexing the ankle to achieve optimal performance of the ski.
-less than optimal balance/skiing position.
-under utilizing the skis potential.
Or a combination of above.
The stiff boot and the softer ski would be somewhat opposite:
-not enough ankle flex to achieve optimal performance of the ski
-overflexing the ski
-less than optimal balance/skiing position
Or a combination of the above....
