It´s surviving with problems and support from di Marco brothers from the Italian SCIARE magazine. (The best carving racers have tight contacts with Marcos and the mag and they do ski and boot testing for the mag.)
I guess FIS was afraid letting the then-promising discipline to be organized by others.
In fact, it´s receiving almost no support and I´m even not sure that it´s still officially a FIS Carving Cup.
A good friend of mine from Poland is one of the top Carving Cup officials, I will ask him about the current situation at the Munich sports fare ISPO next month.
