2004 - 2005 Salomon LAB Skis

I'm wondering if anyone, dealers in particular, have next seasons Salomon LAB Race catalogue yet. I'm curious as to what significant changes are going to take place in the skis for next season. Specifically i am interested in the slalom ski. I am definitely going to be getting the new GS ski, but i have an chance to get a very cheap 2003 - 2004 Slalom model and i am considering it.
Thanks for the help.

I'd like to hear about the GS ski. That's what I'm looking for next year.

You may already know about this one. Not sure so here you go. got this off the salomonhookup site.

The Equipe 10 SC Pilot is the NEWEST ski in Salomon’s race family and is the only ski of its kind. It’s a performance machine that makes effortless short to medium radius turns with power, edge grip and stability.

160cm = 122/66/103

Radius = 11.7m

Do you have details on the plate? I'm mainly curious if it is changed or unchanged - ie prolinks attached to it etc etc. Do you have a picture of it?

I saw the new skis this weekend.

Sorry no pictures.

The GS 2V ski now has a pilot Hangl plate (pinned through the side) and the prolinks are attached to the plate instead of just to the ski.

The SL 3V is still the poweraxe race plate and the prolinks are integrated into the plate as well.

New graphic and the prolinks are no longer the "Y" configuration but more like the 2003-2004 straight prolinks.

Thanks dchan, i was pretty sure that was the retail setup. I'm wondering if that carries over into the SLAB skis as well. If the plates for SLAB are changing significantly i definitely want to be on them. If the SLAB skis are designed to be used with the newer model plates, i also will probably want to be on them. I have a lot of older model plates (2 Hangls and 3 PAXE SLs) but none that have the prolinks attached to them. I saw the 2V and 3V pics, but nothing on LAB stuff yet. Keep me posted if you get any concrete info. I know you are a Salomon guy.
Thanks for the addition.

If you look at this site here,

http://www.skipass.com/articles/hiver2004/sia_ski.php

there's one picture of next year's Salomon shelf racing skis, and in the background of the picture, there's a pair of LAB SLs. I don't know if they're next yr's, but they look very much like this year's, from what I can tell.

I got the domestic stuff through yesterday, only thing that might be any use to you would be the following. No pics in the domestic catalogue or on either of the 2 CDs .

Quote:
By Autumn 2004 the new SALOMON LAB range will be brought out. In pure racing skis, our latest versions are the Equipe 2V GS Lab and the Equipe 3V SL Lab. For freestylers and moguls fanatics, the 1080 Lab and the 1080 Mogul Lab. For freeriders, the AK Rocket Lab. Salomon, the world leader in alpine ski boots will also be presenting a new generation of asymmetric boots, the Course X2 S-LAB Spaceframe™ boot, developed, tested and perfected together with our athletes.

The 2003 - 2004 skis are all gone, so there is no way to get the ones you have posted. do you have the CD for next season? I think im going to have to resort to the rep above. I hate bothering reps that i dont know though.

Since you have the CD, can you clarify this for me: Is there going to be six (6) Teneighty models next season?

Teneighty LAB
Teneighty CR Johnston Pro model
Teneighty Candide Thovex Pro model
Teneighty
Teneighty Mogul
Teneighty Mogul LAB

Pics and specs would be great!
The ones below are the only ones on the CD (no specs as yet - sorry - only have domestic specs).

Standard 1080 and 1080 Mogul are in the catalogue but its 1.50 am and need some sleep - might fire up the scanner tomorrow.

1080 LAB is the only one not pictured on the CD or the catalogue.

Sorry images removed - spanking my bandwidth - if you want them please PM me.

1080 Pro Candide 1

1080 Pro Johnson 1

1080 Pro Johnson 2

1080 Mogul LAB

Actually I'm pretty sure they were the race ski, not just the retail 2v and 3v

The tails have the race label and they were at Jim Schaffner's. (Schaffner race services).

They were the darker maroon not the 03-04 bright red.
and I don't think the retail version ever had the gold pilot Hangl GS plate installed. All the retail plates I've seen were the black units.

But I could be wrong.
You are right dchan, the LAB skis you describe in your first post match the pics I posted, gold plate on the 2V and straight prolinks attached to the plate on the 3V.

The retails this coming season both have black plates and the prolinks on the 3V's do not meet the plates.
