, I pummeled them with questions and took a good long time, tried on several different boots and, well, just made a full morning and half the afternoon of it.
At the end of the day I traded up my (hot spot laden) Tecnica Entryx 7's for a sweet pair of Nordica Beast 10's. Stiffer and far more comfortable (to me). There may--possibly--be one place on each boot that may need to be punched out a bit (I hope that's the right terminology). But I will ski them first; they are quite firm but comfortable now.
A boot that was an extremely close 2nd for me was the Dalbello ZX Supersport. It was very sweet! But there were a few uncomfortable spots and the Nordica seemed to be a slightly more "enveloped" fit and feel.
I got the cut-to-fit SuperFeet footbeds, but will most likely upgrade to the cork ones at some point in the near future. Even with these low-cost ones I can tell a positive difference in the fit.
Woo hoo! I am one happy camper to finally feel like I've found my boot!
