this past season I became dissatisfied with my bandit xxx. They had no pop out of the turns. Too much metal and vibration dampening took the life out of them. I end up on some Fischer big stix 84 that were very lively and fun. I went looking for junk snow, anything that looked white was good enough to try. So my delima was that at 180cm they definitely had a speed limit that I would regularly run up against while skiing the big open bowls at Mammoth Mtn. I ran to my junk room(the one that gets everything that you can't bear to part with) and pulled out some old Rossi Cut 11.5's in a 193 length. For the life of me I can't remember why I stopped skiing on them. Lots of pop out of turns, stable as all get out, anf fairly easy to turn. My problem is that they've been tuned so many times that there isn't very much base left, a section of edge is soft, etc. Not much life left in them if I hit one more rock. Does anybody know of a modern equivalent to this dinosaur. It's 193cm, 115mm tip, 85 waist, 103? tail. No metal in it's construction so it's very lively which I really like. My hard snow ski is Head xp 100 which I really really like. I just want one more ski for my quiver. Any and all suggestions are appreciated.
