Hey cynic...I can't speak for anyone else, but same person, no...Employees/friends, no...Just because I make a comment as a new member you question me??

Okay, take a deep breath, relax, there is no conspiracy here; no one is out to get you…just someone disagreeing with your complaining...

waaa waaa I didn't get my ski stuff when I wanted waaa waaa

No shipping, no addition cost

I had no problems with Cupola either, won the auction and received the order the next week. I can see people being upset about the 3 or 4 week delay at customs, Jay should make sure this doesn't continue to happen, but other than the few that ran into that problem it doesn't seem like they've had many issues, considering the high number of orders they are processing.

There could be many reasons why he stopped selling on e-bay. His website is still up and you can still call them, so after seeing the great service he gave ski_ep, I wouldn't hesitate to buy from him again.

Ski_ep, did you have to pay for additional shipping or additional cost for the exchange ?

Return shipping on my unwanted boots only...

There have been many, many long time forum members who have dealt with Cupolos and posted positive experiences through the years. But, it's no secret here that Cupolos has had some problems as of late. I think what you're seeing is that long time posters have the experience to recognize when a subject has been beat to death, and requires no further beating. This issue is one of them.

No. it just seems strange that you are a new member, and so are all of the others who showed up here to defend Cupolas. You must admit, it is strange................

I'm not angry, but when you call good customers that hold up their end of a bargain and are patient, obsessing pains in the ass, YOU ARE JUST WRONG!

Yeah, That's it, you cought me. I go around to message forums and create multiple accounts to argue with people about ski retailers.:

Thanks Coach. Sounds like a good theory.

Relax, GTM, just seemed strange to me so I thought I'd mention it.

If you are a little nicer next time I may be more inclined to give you some info on Elk!

Ullr, it's also worth noting the number of anti-Cupolo posts coming from members with relatively few posts!

ski ep, it may have something to do with all your posts so far being in this thread

So who would you recommend for ski purchases online? You cant trust SKI_EP cause he seems to have some inside scoop on cupolas. Smells like Fish to me! SKI_EP can you give me any idea on weapons of mass destruction? I just thought you might have the inside scoopola! ;0)

Cupolo's has undoubtedly great prices - just be sure to go there *in person* to get your stuff... Somehow the products transform themselves into bobo skis (or bindings or boots) once inside the boxes and shipped...

This used to be a great store. I've bought various things in the past. I just can't understand why they are operating so poorly... Drugs? Money laundering? Or just damned fool management?

Recommendations...as requested

Another new member...Well my recommendation, as you requested, would be to make your own decision based on the information available.

The fish that you smell is not me, so another recommendation would be to check yourself for that pungent odor.

Or we could just have a spelling bee...c-u-p-o-l-o-s

I am honored that you are monitoring my posts so closely...

And, just for the record a friend asked me to make a post to tell everyone about my situation, just in case someone wanted to hear something positive, so, I did...
So, tell me... Are you feeling lucky? Are you?

That's the only way I'd deal with Cupolos by mail...! :

No problem, glad to have you giving another side of the story. I have never dealt with Cupolos, so I personally can't say anything bad about them. I was just noting the increase in traffic on the topic from some new posters, and thought that there was a reason for it. Thanks again.

I have been reading this post and feel bad for anyone who has had a bad experience purchasing gear from any where.

However the day I use ebay as an authority to determine if someone is a good retailer or not is the day I stop buying anything anywhere!!!
If they tell you "it's hung up in customs" THEY ARE LYING. Everything that crosses the border is bar coded and faxed to the customs broker before it is shipped. The broker quarentees the duty on whatever. I cross the border several times a month hauling both in and out of canada. They do not take items off of the trucks and hold them.
With that said, I too have had a bad experience with Jay and Cupolo Sports. They sent the wrong size of boot, promised the correct size would be shipped. The first pair arrived quickly, the second pair has never arrived. They even gave me the customs excuse (must be standard excuse). I told Jay that if I didn't receive the new pair within the week (total of 3 weeks later) that we would contest credit card and he would have to make arrangements to have his boots picked up. Boots didn't come, contested credit card and the charge was removed. Cupolo's never came after the boots. Anybody want to buy a new pair of 28.5 boots?
No credit card on earth will require you to pay for anything you don't get, nor should you be charged prior to shipment. A call to the nice people in customer service will sort this out for you. The will reverse your charge and require the merchant to PROVE you got them. Been there before on things like this and it was taken care of.

This Is An Entirely Different Situation, This Has Been The Worst Internet Transaction In My Meager 38 Years Of Living. Good Luck To Future Clients Of Mr. Cupolos I Hope He Serves Them Better Than I.

I can't believe we're back to this again.

Enough already.

enough is enough with cupolos. i think everyone at epicski gets it...buyer be ware. peter, if you know enough to post your original thread, then there's a good chance you've surfed epicski before and seen the hundreds of cupolo's posts, good and bad. dude, you're credit card company will nixx the charge, if it's a legitimate scam? and then, don't do busines with cupolo's any further. i will tell you something about cupolo's though, i've been to the store and met the employees, and they're not the bloodsucking scum alot of you think they are. my take is that their internet dept is overwhealmed. give 'em a break
