Pat, that's how I see it too. Some people must have been, or at least feel that they have been badly burnt. I really feel sorry for them. There must have been some rough times at Cupolo or staff errors that went un-checked. In this "global" electronic age bad news travels very, very quickly and it is difficult to correct the problem; because as I said we are all quick to complain but to offer thanks or compliments for a job well done seems to be contrary to human nature.
And, to be filp, Atomicman - I think you're exceptional too! If I am one of the exceptions in dealing with Cupolo I hope my luck continues for I, as Pat and others I'm sure, hope to continue to purchase our ski equipment from Jay and company. Like Alexander Keith's Pale Ale - if you like it - you like it alot!
It was this last purchase from Cupolo of some R412 AFT bindings that lead me to this forum in my search for user comments on the Atomic bindings. Your comments on your satisfaction with the Atomic equipment seems to stand as alone as my comments (and others) on satisfaction with Cupolo Sports. I liked what I read of your comments and feel that despite what another mechanical engineer feels, that the end user is responsible for a common sense approach to using the gear. That is to say - proper maintenance of the bindings (drying after use and periodic lubrication) and cleaning the snow and debris from one's boots before stepping into the bindings is a must.
It was nice to see some positive remarks is a sea of negative comments. If I had read the thread before buying the bindings, I would have likely stayed clear of anything Atomic.
With the class action law suits (pending) against Chrysler I guess I'm not the exception there.
No snow in NS yet !
