better mogul skis? Hart F17 or.....

Been reading that mogul ski technology hasn't really changed much because it doesn't need to. They are still straight skis, and light. That being said, Is there much of a difference in the new models of mogul skis like the head mad trix mogul, 1080 mogul etc as opposed to the late 90s Hart f17 or dynastar assaults etc?

They're shorter these days. I used to ski a 190 Winterheat and I had a friend on 195 or 198 F17's. Longest you get get these days is around 180. Some of them have a tad more sidecut now (1080 Mogul, Scratch Mogul). That's about it as far as changes go.

They've played a bit with flex and some minor sidecut changes but a good mogul ski is a good mogul ski reguardless. My favorite was the Dynastar V9. Skied it in a 190. Now they're skiing mostly 170's and 180's in comps. I really think mogul skiing is more technique than ski. A good bumper will look good on almost any ski. Since they take a beating constantly, look for one that will hold up the best. My opinion, they're all comparable.
