I am planning a trip to Big Sky for late Feb and would appreciate any insight to this resort. I've skied most larger resorts out west but never Mt. Any suggestions including how to get discount lift tix would be greatly appreciated.

Even though this is in the wrong forum, I'll post anyway. Big sky is a great resort. Although it's growing and becoming more expensive, it is one of my favorites. If you know where to go, it's even better. There is some great advanced terrain and many many intermediate runs to accomidate the entire family. Not much nightlife, but you're skiing not partying. Get up to lone peak.....

Save at least 1 day for Bridger Bowl.  Their relationship is kind of like A Basin in Summit Co.  A lot less $ & all the hairy most folks can stand.  Lots of skiing history there.  Are you staying in Bozeman or at Big Sky?  Bozeman will leave you more beer money.

Enjoy Montana.

Just to clarify: Big Sky has some really steep terrain (ie Lone Peak). That said, it also has some of the easist terrain.  The wonderful thing about Big Sky is that it has something for everyone, and a lot of it! Couple that with Moonlight Basin, and there isn't much of a reason to go anywhere else.
