skiing with my kids(10, 8, and 7)four days..two of those i want them to take lessons....they skied for the first time last april with 2 days of ski school. oldest just starting to parrallel and two youngest with wedges but very controlled. when should they start lessons? should we get reacquainted with the snow and altitude the first day then ski school on the 2nd and 3rd days? or should they just jump in and do ski school the 1st and 2nd day? ooorrrrrr ski school 1st and 3rd day? am I confusing you? your recommendations please

kids / short trip

if any altitude is involved, make sure they drink lots of water.

how well do they take instruction from dad? that alone may dictate the
course of thing. you could also look at mutiple part day lessons, and may
get a better rate signing up for multiple days at once.

just keep in mind, once you are helping them, your skiing is pretty much
done.

Since the kids only have 3 days of skiing I would put them in lessons the 1st day. Let the instructors get them back on track so you can enjoy skiing with them the next 2 days!

I would put them into a lesson everyday. If you want to ski with them then have them do half days in the AM and you can ski with them in the PM.

In general kids have a lot of fun skiing with other kids and an instructor who will take them into the woods, terrain park etc.

HEY Sidecut,

Kids have a lot of fun skiing with PARENTS who WANT to ski WITH them. I don't ski the trees with my kids. But I'll hang out in the terrain park and do some moguls occasionally to keep their interest.

I get a lot of laughs out of skiing with my son and his friend (11 and 12, respectively). But I can keep things safe at the same time. They help me to push the envelope a bit every now and then.
