Piston vs IBC: unfair fightthe piston control is a much higher performance set up than the IBC. it has a fixed heel location and floating toe. it gets great power over the front of the ski tó make turn initiation even easier (not that it's not easy on the Axis X already). the psiton will control the ski really well coming out of the turn and stiffen it up ever so slightly
the IBC has no floating toe, but does have a short mounting platform, which makes for a deep-flexing ski. what's great about IBC is how easy you can adjust the binding to different sole lengths. this makes it great for sharing with others or if your ski purchase gets the followed the next year by a new boot.
piston = high performace
IBC = good performance
now with this year's IBX Piston Plate, you get the best of both worlds, pretty much...
