Sorry, that wasn't nice. What I meant really was that it hasn't even been cold or snowed at all. What the heck are we supposed to ski on?

So does that mean you're heading up there on Saturday?

Let me know if it's worth the 2.5 hours. Bill, where in Jersey are you? Do you go to Blue?

Finndog
I'm about 15 miles from Mt Creek in the northwest corner of Morris county. If you know where Craigmeur is I'm just down the road from there.
Never been to Blue. If Blue opens before Mt Creek I'll meet you there and you can give me the grand tour.
Any one ever ski Craigmeur? It was one of the first ski areas to open in NJ.

Bill,

Is Craigmuir still open, I had heard that it closed last year.

TAMski
Craigmeur is still open but not for skiing. They gave up on the skiing when Intrawest took over Vernon Valley. They still do corporate picnics and similar outings in the summer only.

Did you ever ski there?

Did you read the part about not being that cold? Except with some highly specialized snowmaking systems, cold temperatures are still an important component of snowmaking.:

Craigmeur is where I learned to ski! That was 11 years ago, at 29 when my boss called me up at home on a Saturday and said, "do yo ski"? I said, no but I always wanted to" He say's good, you are going skiing next week with clients at Beaver Creek, go learn to ski.. Well that was the beginning of my madness and addtiction. We could do meeting at the Creek if you want. I am about a hour from you.
