I can see it now.
Wild-eyed zealots tapping out revolutionary manifestos by lamplight from yurts and snowcaves buried deep within the Tetons. Raise the antenna just long enough to beam out the truth via blog and then burrow back down to escape the triangulators.
White-camo'd patrols geared out in mis-matched skis and bindings and boots will suddenly appear out of the mists, track out a bowl, and then disappear - leaving only the Mark of the Figure-Eight to prove to the non-believers that, yea, verily, turns can be made on gear that isn't part of a system.
Down with "systems"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Skis are not "systems". Skis are the tools of freedom.
Systems?!? We don't need no steenkeen' SYSTEMS!
Strike a blow for posterity - for the little groms and rippers who are just now setting feet on snow! Gang up on your nearest ski shop and make them understand that we're mad as h*ll and we won't take it anymore. Refuse to buy a ski that requires a certain type of binding.
If you don't make a stand today, the ski manufacturers will ram this stuff down our throats and yet another of our dwindling freedoms will be lost into the foggy ruins of time.
