public enemy vs elan mo2

post #1 of 4
Thread Starter
I have the opportunity to proform a pair of elan mo2's or k2 public enemies and would like to hear peoples views on which one is a better ski. I'll probably be riding about 70% park and about 30% all mountain, with atleast 3 trips out west. So let's hear everyones thoughts. Oh yeah, and sizing, I'm about 5'7.5 and about 150 lbs, would you go with the 159 or 169 PE or the 165 mo2.

I would say that the Pubs would be better. They're tried and true, and elan doesn't have a very good rep with twins. I'd go with the 169 PE. You're about my height, but a little heavier, and I ride the 165 Troublemakers, so the 169 would probably suit you fine.

118/78/106. Think of it as a TT M666. If that AME number was any higher I'd say go with the 165 cm MO2 no question. Forebody is a bit stiff for halfpipe under a light weight; rails (and tree roots) reap the benefit of the reinforced center. More of a direct-feel crudbuster than the PE.

Not your daddy's AirTwist. 'Sides you can always find closeout PE's at swaps, no?

Me: 199lbs/175cm MO2/Rossi FTX
