Beginner Snowboard lessons

Forgive me if I'm out of line here asking about snowboard lessons.

Its been 21 years since I started skiing and I haven't kept up on my ski school information in a long time.

My girlfriend wants to start snowboarding. Since she grew up in Florida wake boarding, she thinks the stances will be more natural for her.

My question is.... Which resort in Colorado offers a good snowboard program? She's very methodical so preferably a program that can help her understand the mechanics of operating the snowboard.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Kinger--welcome to EpicSki!

I think you can pretty much pick any resort in Colorado, except maybe Aspen Mountain(?), and find a decent snowboard program for your girlfriend.

Best regards,

I would skip Deer Valley also. Don't think you would get much of a lesson there.

Better yet, just convince her that skiing is the way to go.

Hey Kinger,
As Bob said, most mountains are going to have a pretty good programs. Getting the right person is the trick. Have you thought about doing the unlimited lesson package at Breck? (I think there doing it again this year) Last year Vail had a three day program for the price of one day in the slow weeks. I think you had to do the three days in a row though. Are you thinking private or group? Send me a PM and I will get you going in the right direction.
