Anyone want to meet up at Copper on the 20th? It'll be my first day at Copper this season, and my third day overall (already got the first two in at Loveland).

Looking to get out there early in the morning, and probably quit early afternoon.

What do you have against the next three weeks?

Family and work obligations. So the 20th is really the next time I can get out there again.

I am sooo envious!!! I really must find a way to move to Colorado...or maybe BC.

*bump*

So is anyone going to be out on Saturday? Hear they're planning to open four more lifts.

I'm planning to get there early and ski till about noon/early afternoon.

faisasy, sorry; I'll be at Loveland Saturday and Sunday. Next time, perhaps?

I'm on the books to teach that day, but I can usually make some runs before lineup. How about meeting me at the Ski School Meeting Place sign between the Eagle and Flyer lifts at 8:45?

I'll be there. I'll have on blue helmet, dark blue jacket, gray pants, red Nordica boots, and blue Atomic skis.

Sounds good. Anyone else?!

Faisasy, I'm toying with the idea, but since I teach in the morning, I may not get there until 11:00-12:00, which is probably when you're going to be leaving. I'm also still debating whether I want to go to Copper or Breck. How many other trails will be open? Skiing Ptarmigan and Rhapsody with a gazillion other people is starting to be a bit much.

The American Flyer lift should be open Saturday with skiing on High Point into Loverly-basically one long greenish trail with a couple of blue pitches. That should take some volume off of the Eagle and Excelerator but I wouldn't put a lot of hard earned money on that bet.

Have fun-I'm off Saturday and have a lot of projects to get done.

That's one of the benefits of a Season's Pass. You're not wasting any hard earned money. Loverly, huh? All I want is a trail somewhere....
Nevermind.

So it's your day off? No Mikewill=No fun!
Kidding!

LM,

I'll probably be around till about 2 or 3pm. So if you do make it out later, let me know, and maybe we could meet up for some turns. I'll check EpicSki upto 6:30am tomorrow (Saturday).

And as MikeWil said, I'm also betting on American Flyer taking some of the pressure off. And even if it is crowded, that's the benefit of the season pass! Plus, with fresh snow overnight, and the forecasted 4-6 inches during the day tomorrow, it'd be a travesty to pass it up.

Alright, ya just made me an offer I can't refuse! When there's good snow, my daytime classes are pretty empty, so I'm guessing that I will be there at about 11:15.

This is me, but my hair is much much longer now.

And given that it's going to be in the teens tomorrow, I'll probably have more of a "Michelin Girl" look than I did in those pictures!

OOPS! Forgot! I probably want to warm up the knee on the trails off the American Flyer, so I'll meet you there.

Ok -- we'll try to be at the bottom of Flyer around 11:15am then.

Flyer opened Friday (today)

helped a lot with the volume

Of course, weekend volumes are a different story, but the flyer is open.

It's supposed to be snowing a lot Saturday (we can hope)

Here is a shot I took today at copper:

I'll be skiing Saturday too but I'm with a group. But I'll wave if I see anyone.

Cool, John! Maybe we can meet up for a drink later. I'm hoping to find a trail that's easier than Ptarmigan, so I can rebuild some skill, but not as flat as Silverthorne in Breck. I swear, I just pointed the skis straight down that trail, and they stll didn't pick up any speed!
