Official Portland Beer Gathering

It has been terribly quiet in the Pacific Northwest (other than the St. Helens business, of course). But I don't think boiling the glacier from the inside out is the way to start the ski season.

It's time to start thinking about a beer gathering. I'm open to any and all suggestions.

Also, interested in whether anybody is trying to put together four people to buy season passes at Meadows.

Let's hear from somebody.

Four inches of snow at Meadows and we are 48 hours from Turkey Day? I am not am happy camper. What gives? When it rains, it's warm. When it's cold it's clear.

Time for a beer.

Maddog? Badrat? Suebrown? How about next Monday or Wednesday? At the Rogue?

Sorry I didn't make it tonight. I've had a bad cold for a couple weeks now, and I thought it would be gone, but I still can't stop coughing.

Sorry you missed it Sue. We all got together, and, as always, decided to do it again, but are hoping maybe for a field trip to preceed the beer gathering (as in drive aways out Hwy 26 for you know what). Doing that will depend on getting some snow, of course. But it looks like it's coming.

Thanks, you guys. I know it's heresy, but I'm hoping to not have to ski until my cold is gone. It's currently taking the form of an infection in my lungs, and it sucks.

sure big dog; always ready to enjoy good company and great brew. Not sure about winter but there is a little white stuff on the mountain. Whats your pleasure?

Finally- Cooper Spur is open! Will be up there tomorrow. Work at Gart tonight so can't meet for drinks, but would appreciate any company at Cooper Between lessons. Cooper is nowhere in Meadows' league but it's a nice laid-back area. Bob
